Dr. Kenneth Rivlin is Associate Vice Chair for Academics at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has devoted his career to advancing health equity through clinical care, medical education, and system transformation in the public hospital system.
Within NYC Health + Hospitals—the largest public health system in the United States—Dr. Rivlin leads sickle cell disease (SCD) initiatives across the lifespan, integrating pediatric and adult care models to improve access, adherence, and outcomes. He has spearheaded citywide programs that embed community health workers, implement standardized care pathways, and expand hydroxyurea use through education, electronic health record tools, and value-based incentives.
Working in close partnership with community organizations and colleagues across multiple NYC boroughs, Dr. Rivlin focuses on translating research into sustainable policies that eliminate disparities in SCD care and mentor the next generation of equity-focused physicians.
