Dr. Stephanie Estevez is currently a PGY2 resident physician at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital pursuing training in internal medicine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minor in Spanish from St. Joseph's University in Brooklyn in 2018 and attended medical school at American University of Antigua. During this time Dr. Estevez gained valuable work experience in medical education through her role as a teaching assistant and being recognized as a medical scholar. Dr. Estevez is an aspiring Hematologist/Oncologist and is conducting ongoing epidemiological research to establish a database of colorectal malignancies focusing on diagnosis, staging, management, survival, and affected demographics of the most prevalent tumors at a single urban community center, New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She is a member of American College of Physicians and American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Estevez enjoys collaborating with teams outside of internal medicine such as Pediatrics and working on projects that focus on transitions of care particularly in the sickle cell community.
