Rob Mannino, PhD

As a patient with transfusion-dependent beta thalassemia, Rob has watched improvements in medical technology directly impact his life. This experience instilled in him a desire to develop technology that could improve the lives of patients like him. To that end, Rob earned a PhD in biomedical engineering from Georgia Tech and Emory University and now serves as the Cheir Technology Officer of Sanguina Inc, where he leads the research and development of noninvasive smartphone-based technologies to help patients suffering from a variety of conditions.
