Erik Hecht is currently the Scientific Director for the Hemoglobinopathies team at Novo Nordisk Inc. for the past 2 years. His previous experience included working as a Medical Affairs, Managed Markets Director at Grifols, and a Senior Managed Markets Medical Liaison at Novo Nordisk Inc. for 6.5 years. Outside of pharma, Erik has worked in hospital pharmacy as a clinical/staff pharmacist at both Duke and Moses Cone Health Systems. His responsibilities included serving as a preceptor for both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Campbell pharmacy students, teaching service and rounding for Total Parenteral Nutrition support, and surgery satellite support.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacology degrees.
