Greg DiRusso, MD, FACS Development Head for Non-Malignant
Hematology at Pfizer where he leads development programs in rare disease.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Greg worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, CSL Behring, and
Cytosorbents developing therapies in the areas of hematology, immunology,
inflammation, and cardiovascular disease for adult and pediatric indications.
Before his career in biopharma, Greg practiced cardiothoracic surgery concentrating on
congenital heart disease, serving on the surgical faculty at Primary Children’s Medical
Center at the University of Utah and as Vice Chairman of Cardiovascular Surgery and
Director of Cardiac Transplantation at Children’s National Medical Center.
