Adrienne Barfield is a passionate healthcare professional and Administrative Assistant at the Foundation for Sickle Cell Disease Research. Living with Sickle cell disease (hemoglobin SS), Adrienne brings lived experience and professional expertise to her role, making her a powerful advocate and resource for the community the foundation serves.
She is a certified phlebotomist, Notary Public, and a current Medical Assisting student at Keiser University, where she is on track to graduate in September 2025. Her growing clinical skills, combined with a strong background in administrative support, equip her to provide efficient, compassionate, and high-quality service in both medical and professional settings.
Adrienne’s long-term goal is to become an entrepreneur and open her mobile health business. Her vision is to offer a range of services, including blood testing, STD testing, urinalysis, and mobile phlebotomy, while also utilizing her notary certification to provide mobile fingerprinting and document courier services. Her mission is to bring accessible, reliable care and support directly to communities, especially those who may face barriers to traditional healthcare or legal services.
Grounded in resilience and driven by purpose, Adrienne Barfield is turning her journey into a platform for impact, combining compassion, capability, and vision to shape the future of mobile healthcare services.
